RE: AT&T and Edward Jones Award Grants to MCF
AT&T and Edward Jones Award Grants to MCF
October 19, 2005
Citing a desire to invest in education in the State of Missouri, AT&T and Edward Jones Company recently provided grants of $15,000 and $13,000 respectively to the Missouri Colleges Fund (MCF).
The grants will underwrite scholarships at each of the 13 MCF member schools.
“Missouri Baptist is so grateful for the generous support of AT&T and Edward Jones,” said Dr. R. Alton Lacey, president of Missouri Baptist University. “These charitable financial donations will give deserving students the opportunity to succeed both in college and in today’s society.”
The MCF was formed in 1952 as a non-profit corporation. The MCF Mission is to acquire resources to help educate students in its 13 member private liberal-arts colleges and universities. In the St. Louis area, members are Missouri Baptist University, Fontbonne University and Maryville University.
More information about the Missouri Colleges Fund can be found online at www.mocollegesfund.org or by calling Mike Backer, MCF president, at 573-893-3818.
