UPS Foundation Awards $35,750 Scholarship Grant to the Missouri Colleges Fund
October 10, 2005
Citing a desire to invest in education in the State of Missouri, the UPS FOUNDATION recently provided a grant of $35,750 to the Missouri Colleges Fund (MCF).
The grant will underwrite a $2,750 UPS Scholarship at each of the 13 MCF member schools. The scholarships will be awarded by the member schools on the basis of financial need.
“Missouri Baptist University appreciates the support UPS Foundation has provided through Missouri Colleges Fund,” said Dr. R. Alton Lacey, president. “Gifts like theirs helps MBU continue to educate Missouri’s workforce with all the benefits of a Christian foundation.”
The MCF was formed in 1952 as a non-profit corporation. The MCF Mission is to acquire resources to help educate students in its 13 member private liberal-arts colleges and universities. Missouri Baptist member institutions include William Jewel College, Southwest Baptist University and Missouri Baptist University.
More information about the Missouri Colleges Fund can be found online at www.mocollegesfund.org or by calling Mike Backer, MCF president, at 573-893-3818.
