MBU Welcomes New Faculty

As classes begin for the 2005-2006 academic year, Missouri Baptist University welcomes seven new members to its distinguished faculty.
Dr. Ed Hillhouse, joins the graduate department as Associate Dean of Graduate Studies. Dr. Hillhouse brings with him experience as a superintendent, principal and an educator. He serves the entire graduate program, with a concentrated effort at the Franklin County Extension in St. Clair, MO.
Following his retirement from the Fox School District in June, Mr. Jim Chellew now serves MBU as the Jefferson County North Graduate Site Coordinator. Chellew held a number of administrative positions in the Fox district's central office from 1989 until his appointment as superintendent in 2001.
Dr. Shelton Smith, former superintendent of the Hillsboro school district, joins the graduate program as site coordinator for the St. Clair region and professor of education. Also new to the education division is Angela Robbins, instructor of education and director of field experience.
Dr. Bill Combs joins the humanities division as professor of philosophy and interdisciplinary studies, along with Kristie Kimzey, instructor in English. Fred Crawford, instructor of administration of justice and Pamela, Goode, Instructor in Human Services, join the social and behavioral sciences division. Goode also serves as the University’s women’s lacrosse coach in the sports inaugural season.
Greg Farris, professor of health and sport sciences, joins the health and sports sciences division. New to the natural sciences division is Dr. Lydia Thebeau, professor of biology, and Dr. Emily Christensen, professor of natural sciences.
