Wallace Named to State Financial Aid Improvement Team
August 9, 2005
Laurie Wallace has been named as a member of the State Aid Program Improvement Project Team Task Force. Wallace, who serves as the Director of Financial Services at Missouri Baptist University, will join representatives from Council on Private Higher Education (COPHE), Missouri Community College Association (MCCA), Independent Colleges and Universities of Missouri ICUM, the Governor’s office, the Senate, the House of Representative, and Missouri Department of Higher Education (MDHE).
“We’d like to improve predictability of awards, efficiency of the process, and access to aid, among others,” said Wallace.
The task force represents an enhanced effort from the MDHE to improve the state aid program. After thoroughly examining the current program, the task force will make recommendations to the MDHE board of trustees at the October 2005 meeting.
