Appointments and Transitions

Missouri Baptist University begins the 2005-2006 academic year with several new administrative appointments and transitions.
Following his retirement from the Fox School District in June, Mr. Jim Chellew has been appointed the Jefferson County North Graduate Site Coordinator. Chellew held a number of administrative positions in the Fox district's central office from 1989 until his appointment as superintendent in 2001.
Mr. Rob Cornwell has been appointed Director of Constituent Relations and Alumni Affairs. Mr. Cornwell has previously served the University in positions including Director of Church Relations and Admissions.
Mr. Terry Dale Cruse has been appointed MBU Director of Admissions. Mr. Cruse comes to MBU from William Carey College, where he was employed as Assistant Director of Admissions. "We are delighted to have Terry Cruse as our new Director of Admissions,” says Keith Ross, vice president for institutional advancement. “He is an accomplished individual whose experience at William Carey College will provide a firm foundation for the leadership and vision he brings to MBU."
Ms. Pamela Goode has been appointed as Head Coach of the women’s lacrosse team in its inaugural season.
In addition to his duties as English professor and Integrite editor, Dr. John Han has been appointed Chair of the Humanities Division. Previous division chair Dr. Curtis McClain will continue working more directly with the Master of Arts in Christian Ministries program in his position of Director of Religious Studies.
Dr. Ed Hillhouse will join the graduate department as Associate Dean of Graduate Studies. Dr. Hillhouse brings with him experience as a superintendent, principal and an educator. He will serve the entire graduate program, with a concentrated effort at the Franklin County Extension in St. Clair, MO.
Ms. Lara Robey has been appointed Director of Student Activities. Ms. Robey is transitioning from a transfer counselor position in the Admissions Office.
Mr. Brian Turnbull has been appointed as Event Manager and Technical Director. Mr. Turnbull has served for two years as Technical Coordinator and will continue to provide technical direction and management for MBU productions and hosted events.
Mr. Ralph Tiffany has been appointed as Head Coach for both men and women’s golf teams. With over thirty-five years of golf experience, Coach Tiffany started Junior Golf programs throughout the Midwest and has been a golf pro for a number of seasons.
Mrs. Laurie Wallace has been appointed Director of Financial Services. She will transition from her position of Associate Director of Financial Services, where she has served since 1995.
Mr. Chris Will has been appointed Head Tennis Coach for both men and women’s teams. Mr. Will will also serve as the track program coordinator for the men and women’s track teams.
In addition to his current role of Men’s Volleyball Coach, Mr. John Yehling will also serve as Head Women’s Volleyball Coach.
MBU has also added a number of professors and instructors to its faculty. Academic positions will be released the first week of August.
