Students Honored for Outstanding Achievement

Missouri Baptist University students were recently recognized as 2005 Outstanding Student Award Recipients. Students are chosen by faculty for demonstrating excellence in their field of study. Students were honored at a ceremony April 5, 2005, in the Pillsbury Chapel and Dale Williams Fine Arts Center.
In the Business Division, the Accounting award went to August E. Werner. Michael Berry was recognized for Business Administration and Daniel Trout for Computer Information Systems. The Management award went to Philip A Loyd and Marketing to Trisha A. Borgic. Pamela N. Roberson received an award for involvement in 2004-2005 SIFE, Students in Free Enterprise. Dawn R. Selsor received the Jefferson Extension Business award and David R Komonce the Troy/Wentzville Extension Business award.
The Education Division gave the Student Leadership award to Nichole A. Brewer and an Elementary Education award to Kristen M. Degnan. The Middle School Education award went to Faith E. Hadden and the Secondary Education award to Brian J. Kruger. Amanda M. Johnson received the Troy/Wentzville Education award, Zachary D. McDowell received the Jefferson Education award, and Jessica A. Carpenter received the Franklin County Education award.
In the Fine Arts Division, the Audio/Video Production award to Joshua J. Starr and Jillian P. Steele. Crystal F. Franke, Stephanie R. Fujarski, and Sarah E. Good were recognized for Public Communications and Tanya N. McCrory for Public Relations. The music award went to Joanna M. McDonald.
In the Humanities Division, Eric A. Elves received the Ministerial Alliance award and Gideon W. Park the Biblical Languages award. The Ministry and Leadership award went to Jason T. Lima and the Alpha Chi award went to Penelope M. Auld and Kimberly S. Hall. JoDana J. Flowers was recognized for English and Kristen D. Huigens for Sigma Tau Delta. The Cantos award went to William G. Federer. Rebecca L. McDonald received the Religion award and Jennifer L. Auld received the Religious Education award.
The Health and Sport Sciences Division honored Kristina L. Rosenburg with the Sports Medicine Academic award. Lori M. Rice was recognized for Sports Management and Carolyn S. Girse for Kinesiology. The Health Science award went to Dawn M. Moushey.
The Natural Sciences Division honored Nicole M. Lynch with the Biology award and Hannah M. Helfrich received the Mathematics award.
In the Social and Behavioral Sciences Division, Laura M. Harris received the Psychology award and Katharine W. Block received the Behavioral Sciences award. The Human Services award went to Courtney A. Guilford and the Administration of Justice award went to Alexander P. Dzatko. Robert J. Anthony was recognized for Social Sciences and Rhonda M. Weidman for History. Pamela Roberson and Kristen Degnan also received the Campus Service Award.
