RE: Dutchik Appointed as Women's Soccer Coach
Dutchik Appointed as Women's Soccer Coach
January 21, 2005
Missouri Baptist University officially appointed Chip Dutchik to the position of head coach of the women’s soccer team. Coach Dutchik, a 2002 graduate of Missouri Baptist University, has served as MBU’s assistant men’s soccer coach the past two and a half years.
Coach Dutchik has already hit the recruiting circuit looking for 2005 athletes in addition to keeping his returnees from his 13-6 team, the second best record in MBU Women’s Soccer. “We have already been in contact with prospective athletes and we plan on attending every local showcase in the St. Louis area.”
“I want these Ladies to graduate from Missouri Baptist University and be proud of where they played college soccer. I want them to be successful when they leave MBU and be proud to come back and visit us. We will always make our alumni feel welcome in our program. I think that can happen by building a tradition in Women’s Soccer at Missouri Baptist University.”
Chip plans on developing a program centered around God. “God will be the focus of our program. He is why I am here, and these girls will be challenged spiritually.” The Lady Spartans have already re-implemented a long time tradition. “We will bring back our team verse, Philippians 4:13. This verse will always be visible on our team.”
