MBU closes a successful United Way giving campaign
November 5, 2004
Missouri Baptist University closed a successful United Way giving campaign this week. The efforts of faculty and staff from the main campus and three extension sites successfully combined to more than double the contributions from the previous year.
“Part of our mission at MBU is to provide service to the community. Giving to the United Way falls right in line with that mission,” says project coordinator, Michelle Milla.
“The Power of the Purse,” the United Way Women’s Leadership Giving Initiative, brought faculty and staff together for a luncheon recognizing and supporting the women leaders who live and work in the St. Louis area. Gary Dollar, President and CEO of the United Way of Greater St. Louis, attended the luncheon and heartily thanked the women of MBU for their committed, active support of the United Way.
The United Way of Greater St. Louis is a social service safety network of agencies serving the city of St. Louis and fifteen surrounding counties in Missouri and Illinois.
