RE: Missouri All-Collegiate Band - 2004
Missouri All-Collegiate Band - 2004
December 11, 2003
Five Missouri Baptist University students will be performing as members of the Missouri All-Collegiate Band of 2004 at the annual MMEA convention on Friday, January 23 at the Tan-Tar-A Resort at the Lake of the Ozarks.
MBU members of the Missouri All-Collegiate Band include: Kayt Hinson, freshman music major from St. Clair; Audry Thompson, senior music education major from Ballwin; Jason Stringfellow, sophomore music education major from Florissant; Joe Simino, junior music education major from Arnold; and José Silva, sophomore music performance major from Fort Leonard Wood.
The Missouri All-Collegiate Band is comprised of the top collegiate wind and percussion instrumentalists in the state. The Band is sponsored by the Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA), a division of the National Association for Music Education.
“I’m extremely proud of the five students who were selected. I think it speaks well of MBU, especially as young as our band program is, that we are already able to draw student musicians of such high caliber to this institution,” says Dr. Kevin Cox, director of bands at MBU.
