RE: Fall Campus Visit Day
Fall Campus Visit Day
October 15, 2003
Like most high school seniors, Dan Meyer has been receiving a flood of college materials in his mailbox lately. The college search can be stressful, but Dan’s decision was made easier after he attended Missouri Baptist University’s campus visit day on October 13. Initially sparked by a postcard from the school, his interest grew as he experienced a firsthand look at what MBU has to offer.
Throughout the day, prospective students and their families enjoyed performances by MBU ministry and music groups, campus tours, a financial aid seminar, and a personal greeting from president R. Alton Lacey. In addition, campus groups and organizations held an information fair where visitors could explore the University’s various academic and extracurricular possibilities. At the catered luncheon, guests had a chance to get acquainted and converse with professors representing their respective fields of study.
Dan was one of dozens of visiting students that applied for admission before the close of the day. “I really liked the personal and friendly atmosphere,” he said. “I feel like I can get involved and belong here. MBU is definitely at the top of my list.” Dan, a student at Oakville High School in St. Louis, has not yet decided on an intended major, but he plans to try out for Spirit Wing in the spring.
Missouri Baptist University’s spring campus visit day will be held on January 19, 2004. For more information, please call the Office of Admissions at (314) 434-1115, or email admissions@mobap.edu.
