RE: Two Students Receive Warner Scholarship
Two Students Receive Warner Scholarship
September 24, 2003
Missouri Baptist University’s Casey Autenrieth and Rhoda Bontrager have been awarded the Kurt Warner First Things First Scholarship. The $4,000 scholarship is payable over four years, the amount matched dollar for dollar by MBU and is supported by a work-study program and mentor.
Casey is a freshman majoring in business administration from St. Louis, Missouri, and Rhoda is a freshman from Licking, Missouri.
Established in 2001, the First Things First Scholar Program recognizes students who demonstrate a desire to influence others in a positive manner through their words and actions. Up to two scholars are chosen annually at each of the participating universities, including Saint Louis University, University of Missouri—St. Louis, and University of Northern Iowa. This year, MBU students were awarded two of six scholarships. Current MBU students Amanda Jennewein, Courtney Guilford, Sadie Johnson, and Ruth Bontrager, 2000-2002 recipients, continue to receive First Things First Scholarships.
“We are proud of our selected students and are impressed with their dedication to God and community. The scholarship encourages the students to continue to develop their dedication as they pursue their education at MBU,” says Keith Ross, Vice President for Institutional Advancement.
