Thomas Smith Appointed Interim Athletic Director

Director of Admissions and Head Wrestling Coach, Thomas Smith, has recently been appointed Interim Athletic Director for Missouri Baptist University. Bringing nearly 18 years of coaching background to this position, Smith provides knowledge and experience to all the students.
MBU’s athletic department includes thirteen varsity and four junior varsity teams. In the last five years, MBU has doubled the number of athletes and added seven new teams including: junior varsity men and women’s basketball, cheerleading, men and women’s cross country, junior varsity women’s volleyball, varsity and junior varsity men’s volleyball and varsity wrestling.
Smith, a St. Louis native, is a graduate from Parkway West High School and wrestled at Southeast Missouri State University. He has been involved in Missouri Wrestling for over 28 years, coaching at Kennedy, DeSoto, Lindbergh, Parkway South, and Parkway West high schools.
Smith has a Master of Science in Education from Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar, MO, and a Bachelor of Science and Secondary Education Teaching Certificate from Missouri Baptist University.
