RE: Convention President Speaks in Chapel
Convention President Speaks in Chapel
February 1, 2002
Dr. Bob Curtis, President of the Missouri Baptist Convention, as the guest speaker at the January 31 chapel service at Missouri Baptist College.
His message focused on the persistent questions of life: Why are we here? What is truth? Where did man come from? Dr. Curtis stated that the ability to find answers to these questions comes through Christ according to John 14:6 where Jesus is declared the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Dr. Curtis is also pastor of Ballwin Baptist Church where he has served for the past twelve years. He received a BA in Church Music from Carson-Newman Baptist College, a M. Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. of Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary. He was elected Convention President in October 2001 after serving the previous year as First Vice-President.
