Missouri Baptist College Moves to Number Three in Nation

The Missouri Baptist College Men’s Volleyball team has started the 2002 season with a 6 - 0 start and moved from number nine to number three in the nation after last weeks performance at the Lindenwood Tournament in St. Charles.
Missouri Baptist College’s men’s volleyball began the year with wins over Dallas Baptist and Newman University in Wichita, KS on January 19. The team then played in a tournament at Lindenwood University which pitted the MAMVIC conference with the Chicago land conference in a cross pool format. MBC went 4 - 0 and defeated number 10 Tristate, number 4 Marycrest, and Trinity Christian and St. Ambrose to finish the weekend undefeated.
The team, on the year, has been lead offensively by Dejan Jovic, .496 hitting %, Brandon Whiteside, .488 hitting %, and Gus Werner, .382 hitting %. Posting an impressive 62 aces and only 81 errors MBC is the best in the MAMVIC conference.
