MBC Announces Administration Transition
October 16, 2000
Dr. Jo Ann Miller has been appointed as Executive Director of Constituent Relations, working with alumni and the convention's Future Generations Campaign. She transitions from the position of Dean of Students where she has served for eight years. Dr. Miller was recognized this September for her fifteen year of service at MBC.
As an MBC alum, Dr. Miller earned her degree in secondary education with an emphasis in English. She continued to University of Missouri/St. Louis to earn her Masters and on to Saint Louis University for her Ph.D. with an emphasis in Higher Education.
After teaching at DeSoto High School for four years and serving as the president of alumni association, Dr. Miller returned to work at MBC. She has been a treasured asset to the College ever since her return in 1985.
In addition to her involvement at MBC, Dr. Miller has been extensively involved in denominational activities. She is a member at First Baptist Arnold and is active in a number of committees associated with the Jefferson Baptist Association. Dr. Miller serves as the Children's Coordinator for the Windermere Baptist Assembly and has been on the planning committee for Bible Preaching Week for seven years. In 1992, she served on the committee of resolutions at the Southern Baptist Convention in Indianapolis.
Dr. Miller has been joined by her family with involvement at Missouri Baptist College. Her husband, Robert Miller serves at Director of Financial Aid and both of their children, David and Mariann, are MBC alumni working in the field of education. Robert and Jo Ann have five grandchildren.
