MBC Profesor Receives Distinguished Teaching Award

June 1, 2000

Professor of Education at Missouri Baptist College, Mrs. Julie Ray, received the 2000 Parkway Distinguished Teaching Award. Ray was presented the award by College's President, Dr. Alton Lacey, on behalf of Parkway Baptist Church, St. Louis, during commencement ceremonies. The Distinguished Teaching Award is designed to annually recognize a professor with outstanding dedication and enthusiasm.

Ray was also honored during the 1999/2000 academic year by Who's Who Among America's Teachers-an award based upon student recommendation. Her recognition comes as no surprise as she served this year as Chair of MBC Education Conference, counselor for Chi Pi and Kappa Delta Pi chapter, and supervisor for MSTA annual Book Fair.
