MBU stationery is to be ordered in two sets of specifications: first class or bulk -- to be defined by the manner in which they are mailed. In some cases, this will require that you order and maintain two separate stocks. The reason for two stocks is primarily financial since the premium paper (first class) is much too expensive for bulk-mail projects. There may be times when bulk stationery is acceptable to send first class, but never the other way around.
Departments do not need to contact University Communications or the Business Office to order stationery. Each department has a designated individual responsible for placing orders, as listed below. Simply proceed through the traditional PO process.

First Class
Paper stock for first class use is Strathmore Bright White Elements
-- Lines (Vertical). The paper is very smooth and clean, perfect for
handwriting and laser printers. Do not use this paper in a copier
or ink-jet printer. Paper weight would depend on the piece, but the
printer can help determine such specifications.
First class print orders are currently made through Intaglio Creative. For questions please call 314-645-1980. Get pricing for your specific quantity, run the PO through the approval process, and place the order.
Business Cards
First class business cards can be ordered online at printorders.com.
For ordering instructions or login information, please contact
Intaglio Creative at 314-645-1980. Bulk
business cards can be ordered through Sid at Xpress Graphics
at 314-426-1000.
Bulk
Bulk paper stock is generally anything less than the first class paper.
This stock may change from order to order depending on the piece.
The stock will always be a white, unlined, smooth uncoated sheet.
Do not order non-white, textured, or coated paper for this purpose.
Bulk stationery is printed no-bleed, slightly altering the first class design. This, along with the paper change, equates to a less expensive product.
Bulk print orders are currently made through Xpress Graphics by calling Sid at (314) 426-1000. Get pricing for your specific quantity, run the PO through the approval process, and place the order.
Matching Stationery
Envelopes and letterhead should always match. Do not mix different
paper stocks between the two. Additional enclosed materials should
not conflict with the visual impact of the overall piece.
