Missouri Baptist University's graphic elements are key components of the institution's visual identity. To preserve and strengthen this identity, there is the need to clarify the proper use of each element. Every print or online publication — any information vehicle — must include the proper graphic element.
There are general limitations that extend to all graphic elements. These restrictions are made to maintain the proper identity of each element. There may be some slight exceptions specific to a particular element. Consult the respective element's page and/or contact University Communications for possible exceptions.
Elements may not be:
Altered
Rotated
Squewed
Shaded
Flipped
Overlapped.
Colored other than as noted.
Sized under or over noted limitations.
Occasionally, a new graphic element is introduced to update an older element or to represent a new identity. This manual will be updated and e-mail will be sent to all campus faculty and staff of changes to the GSM.
All of the elements are provided in convenient downloadable files. Check with your designer before sending them a graphic file. Formats differ greatly and must fit the specific publishing need. Downloadable files are provided on respective graphic element pages.
RETIRED GRAPHIC ELEMENTS
Graphic elements are occasionally replaced or retired. The University family
will be notified via e-mail whenever this happens and the elements will
be posted here for confirmation and as a reminder. Please refrain from using
any element posted below. More
information on retired elements.
