I was very blessed to be born into a big Christian family where I was raised in church. My family is a huge part of my life and one of the main reasons I am who I am today. I sang my first solo in church when I was three years old, so singing has always been a passion of mine. I was saved at age nine and ever since then God has been working in my life to make me into the person He wants me to be. It hasn’t always been easy, but I know God has been with me every step of the way.

I lost my Dad at 16 and had two choices – to run FROM God or run TO Him. I chose the second. There have been many times in the past two years when I didn’t have the strength or desire to go on, but the Lord was my strength in those times, constantly expressing His love and will for me. I am so ready to allow God to fully reign over me because all my will does is complicate things. God is good all the time!

I grew up in a Christian family and went to a Christian school. My Dad asked me when I was five if I wanted to be a Christian. I said yes. I don’t think I fully understood what it all meant until I reaffirmed my commitment when I was 12. That was also when I was baptized. Recently, God has been revealing to me struggles in my life. I can see how He has changed my life and constantly draws Himself closer to me as I draw near to Him.

Honestly, being a “church kid,” my relationship with God was never anything that was fresh or exciting. It just was. That changed six years ago on my 18th birthday. God revealed Himself in an entirely new way – all of a sudden I had this intense hunger for the Lord, and I knew there was no thing, person or action that could satisfy what I deeply craved. I decided to enter into a deep, meaningful relationship with Jesus. I have never been the same. It is my desire to never settle for a “title-only” mentality… “Yeah, I am a Christian.” Instead, I truly strive to be a genuine follower of Christ, depleted of pride and confident in Him, even in my weakness. If we do not know Him and make Him known, what are we here for?

I have grown up in a strong Christian home my whole life. My parents and especially my mom have influenced my growth in God. Honestly, the reason why I sing to God is because of people in my life, like my mom, who have encouraged me in singing and music, because I never wanted to. But God had other plans in mind for me. Right now I’m learning how to obey God right away even if I’m afraid or don’t think I can do whatever He asks. I just need to do it, or I might miss something. I know that if I hadn’t started singing at church or at school, I probably wouldn’t be in Spirit Wing today, and I would have missed out on meeting the most amazing people.

I’m so thankful for the upbringing I’ve had. I’m blessed to have Christians for parents who have brought me up in the Lord. I love the Lord so much and am blown away by how He has blessed me. Especially lately. I have a passion for music and I praise the Lord that He has enabled me to glorify and serve Him through that. Day by day I’m continuing to grow in the Lord and lately He has shown me to toally rely and depend on Him in every aspect of life.

I have been a Christian since I was seven and singing since I was six. I am so glad that God has given me the opportunity to do what I love in order to minister and touch other people’s lives. Like a child who tests their parents, I too have tested God over and over again. But every time, He shows that He is an on-time God full of grace and mercy. I have learned to lean constantly on God for perfect peace in the midst of crazy situations. I would not trade any of the trials that I have endured for anything because I know that they have only made me stronger. I now realize that God has been in the midst of all of them teaching me something about myself and Him.

God has been crazy good to me. I was lucky to grow up in a home in which my parents faithfully follow after Christ. My Dad has shown me what it means to be a godly man, and my Mom has over and over again pointed me back to God. My parents have been a huge blessing and testimony in my life. I was saved when I was eight, and have been growing ever since. I am currently learning what it means to be spiritual leader and especially a spiritual husband. I don't know where God is taking me, but I'll go.

I was raised in church ALL my life, but I really didn’t know God. I knew a lot of the Bible stories and I knew how to act in church but I really didn’t know God. I got saved at age 13, and my hunger for God grew. Now I am growing, and knowing Jesus more everyday.
