Ashley
Dixon is a freshman at Missouri Baptist this year. She
grew up in a Christian home and became a child of God at the young age of
7. However, it wasn’t
until her life took a traumatic twist that she learned
to lean on Him and the strength that only He can provide. Since then she
has become extremely active in her home church, Twin Rivers Worship Center,
in music, drama, and teen leadership. Ashley is excited to see what God has
in store for her this year and is thankful for the opportunity to be able
to do what she loves.

Ashley
Killingsworth is a junior at MBU majoring in Communications. She
is from the small town of Walnut Grove where she and her four
brothers were raised. Ashley sang her first solo at three “Standing
in the Need of Prayer,”
and has since been drawn to music and worship. Growing up in church where
her father was pastor helped Ashley find Jesus at a young age and get
a strong foundation for future ministries. Growing up with four very
protective brothers and being a daddy’s girl, I’m sure you can
guess that Ashley was always sheltered from things; so moving four hours away
to go to school and join Spirit Wing was a challenge to say the least. God
is an awesome God and taught Ashley over and over how to fully rely on Him.
Ashley is always thankful for her family and friends that has loved and supported
her through all the up’s and down’s.

Vincent
Henthorn is a graduate of MBU and is serving in his sixth
year as a vocalist and third as the director. It has been a long journey
to take Vince down this road in his life; looking back he can see where God
has strategically placed events and situations in his life for him to be
exactly where God needed him. Although the road has not been an easy one,
he is thankful for God’s providence and grace and would not change a thing in God’s
plan.
Over the many years Vince has been on the MBU campus, he has taken full advantage of everything the University has had to offer in activities and events. Apart from Spirit Wing, he is currently serving his second term as president of the Spartan Activities Council. He has appeared on the MBU stage as Archie Beaton in “Brigadoon”, and a leading character in “Godspell”. Brandon
Andrews is from Jackson, Missouri and is a sophomore
at MBU majoring in Business Management with a minor in Business Administration.
This is Brandon’s
second year in Spirit Wing, but his first year as a singer,
while he played keyboards for the band last year. Brandon is also the third
member of his family to be a part of this ministry, following in the footsteps
of his two older brothers Brad and Bryan.
As a young boy Brandon accepted Christ but at age 12 he felt he had not truly understood what walking with God in an intimate relationship truly meant. He rededicated his life at that point fully committing to be God’s child and servant. Throughout his entire life, his parents have been the stronghold which he could lean on and they showed him what being a Godly man and woman of faith really was. The past few years have been a rocky, rocky road for Brandon because of a family situation, but throughout those rough times, God has shown his presence and taught Brandon how to totally rely on HIS will. He is very excited about the upcoming opportunities this year and cannot wait to see what God has in store for Spirit Wing.

Sam
Gregg is from Cape Girardeau, Missouri and is a transfer
student from the University of Mobile, He is majoring in Music at MBU with
an emphasis in guitar performance. Although this is Sam’s first year in Spirit Wing,
he is no stranger to band life. Aside from numerous worship teams in both
his hometown and Mobile, Alabama, he had the opportunity to travel with
the group Image of Unity. Through these experiences, he has had the privilege
to open and spend time with some of today’s top Christian artists
like Third Day, Petra, Reliant K, Toby Mac, and many
more!
Throughout High school, Sam would’ve most likely been found playing guitar or playing a different guitar, but he always made time to attend all youth functions. Sam was very fortunate to have a youth minister that showed him through hands on experience, that ministry would have a definite part of his life. Unfortunately Sam didn’t discover his call overnight, it began many years earlier. His parents were always a great spiritual example by encouraging him to be active in church. At the age of 9 Sam made his life commitment to Christ, then as a sophomore in high school, he reaffirmed his faith with new understanding. “Without my life in Christ, I may not have had the wonderful experiences” says Sam.
