In Charactre
In Charactre is Missouri Baptist University’s touring drama troupe ministry, now in its 12th year. In Charactre is made up of 7 members from all over campus, but who unite for one purpose—to share God’s Word through drama. A typical In Charactre presentation will include short plays based on parables, the Psalms, as well as humorous and dramatic pieces that show God’s hand in everyday life. In Charactre is devoted to drama ministry as worship while providing another means of sharing the gospel.
We are available to perform in a variety of settings. This year alone, we are already booked to enhance worship services, perform on campus and to be a part of the Fall and Spring tours along with some of the other performance ensembles in Fine Arts. We are also pleased to be invited to conduct workshops to motivate current drama groups, help you get one started in your own church, show you our process for rehearsal and even teach some basic acting and staging skills. We believe this is a unique feature that can help further the ministry in your community of faith.
