Stood Up
Have you every been stood up? Sunday night I was supposed to hang out with a young man from school. We had made plans last Thursday and he was supposed to call me... I never heard from him. I felt aweful! Did he just forget? Did something happen to him? Did he find something better to do?
This got me thinking... How many times have I stood God up? How many quiet times have I skipped or forgotten about while rushing around before school? What about all those times I should have been alone with God in prayer, but chose to hang out with friends? Even homework can get more important than spending quality time with my Father. Does God feel that same rejection I felt when "stood up"?
I know that He is patient and faithful in His relationship with me. When I am forgetful or neglectful, He remains faithful, just waiting for me with arms wide open.
I don't know where you may be or what you're going through, but I do know that God is waiting for you as well. He loves you and has given His life for you.
Psalm 117:2 "For great is His love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever."
