Allusion takes on the Big Apple!
April 2006
Allusion 2005-2006 members Jennifer Broombaugh, Tia Wright, Robyn Diekamp, Jordan Cox, Seth Carruthers, Kevin Leslie, & Alex Smith, along with Director Pat Lacey and band members Carrie Dyer (piano), Brain Thompson (bass), John Chambers (drums) and sound tech Leeann Thompson, took on the New York Vocal Jazz Festival 2006, featuring internationally known jazz educator, Dr. Steve Zegree of Western Michigan University as Director. The final concert was given in the legendary Allen Room of Jazz at Lincoln Center, a venue for professional and non-professional jazz musicians from all over the world. It’s wall-sized window serving as backdrop was the perfect for Allusion’s musicians as they took the stage as the winners of the Collegiate division competition. While these are just a few of the formal event, the pictures here give a look at what the members of Allusion did in those off-times!
