Dove Award-winning Christian singer/songwriter Ginny Owens kicked
off MBU’s Hot Winter Nites concert series on January 10 with an intimate, “unplugged”-style
performance. After being led to the piano, she immediately captivated the
audience with her smooth, smoky voice and inventive musical composition.
Blind since age two, Ginny has always excelled in music, writing songs at
eight years old and eventually studying at Belmont University. Her lyrics
often express inner reflections on life’s challenges and joys, all
built upon a deep sense of awe, wonder, and gratitude toward God. After the
latter part of the concert, which introduced songs from her upcoming album, “Beautiful,” Ginny
joined guests in the Grand Hall for a reception and autograph signing.
