We Are Tomorrow Tour (Opening Night)

Missouri Baptist University kicked off its Spring Concert Series January 10 with the opening night of the 50-city “We Are Tomorrow” tour featuring Christian rock bands, Bleach, Sanctus Real, and Holland. Opened by local band, Maybe Today, the show presented fans with the message of the gospel through energetic and spiritually charged rock music.

No stranger to the touring circuit, Christian alternative-rock band Bleach stirred up the crowd with their lively stage show and musical zeal. The group’s most recent CD, Again, for the First Time, has been highly successful, along with their consistently sold-out touring history. Self-described as “just a bunch of rednecks who love to play rock n’ roll music,” Bleach has found their niche in ministry as a band who brings Christ to kids while having fun and pursuing their passions.

Sanctus Real, touring to promote their first Sparrow Records release, Say it Loud, has already caused a stir in the Christian music industry, debuting as the biggest selling rock album in Sparrow history. Already successful in Ohio and the upper Midwest as an independent band, Sanctus Real’s aggressive, high-energy performance coupled with honest, real-life lyrics, has attracted national attention and respect from fans and industry peers alike.

Giving a preview to their upcoming debut, Photographs and Tidalwaves, California-based trio Holland join Bleach and Sanctus Real for the first half of the tour. With a message of love and encouragement, and musical style reflecting bands like the Beatles and Weezer, Holland’s album is anticipated to be highly successful. “It makes us feel good to play shows together with bands who are all on the same page and have the same vision,” said singer/guitarist, Josiah Holland.
