FOR STUDENTS
COMMENCEMENT SCHEDULE:
- Student check-in begins at 5:30 p.m.
- Faculty Participants must arrive for check-in by 6:00 p.m.
- Event doors open for guests at 5:00 p.m. - no tickets necessary.
- Commencement starts promptly at 7:00 p.m.
- NO Summer Evening Classes will be meeting on the evening of Commencement.
CAP AND GOWN PICK UP :
Where: Records Office ; please pick up your cap and gown no later than April 4, 2008.
Cost: The cost of the cap and gown is included in the Graduation Fee.

PHOTOGRAPHY:
- Photography will be provided the day of Commencement by Chappell Graduation Images
- Chappell has developed a preregistration system which allows graduates and/or their parents to provide their email and mailing address information to Chappell prior to the ceremony. Graduates can also add up to 6 family members' contact information as well to help share the good news and the photos! Graduates who preregister will be contacted by Chappell as soon as their photos are available for online viewing and ordering. To preregister, click here.

UPCOMING EVENTS:
April 17th – SENIOR CHAPEL Graduation regalia is to be worn for Chapel.
- Senior Brunch will be held for the graduating class and faculty in the cafeteria from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
- Senior Walk. At 10:15 a.m. seniors will gather in Bywaters Lounge to put on their academic regalia in preparation for the Senior Walk.
- Senior Chapel. At the conclusion of the Senior Walk, seniors will process to the Pillsbury Chapel and Dale Williams Fine Arts Center for Senior Chapel at 11:00 a.m.
- Graduation Rehearsal will follow immediately after the conclusion of Senior Chapel in the Pillsbury Chapel and Dale Williams Fine Arts Center.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS :
When will I know if I get honors?
Spring undergraduate participants will receive their honor chords at check-in the day of commencement. Summer graduates will not receive honors at commencement because their final grades are not available. Honors are calculated on ALL courses taken during a student’s academic career not just their Missouri Baptist University courses.
Do I have to participate in commencement?
All undergraduates are required to participate in the commencement ceremony. Participation is a requirement to graduate therefore, failure to do so will prevent the student from receiving their diploma or transcripts. All Master and Specialist graduates have the option to participate or not. All participants must turn in a confirmation form informing the Records office of their plans to participate or not. This must be done immediately.
