Our new students have been busy! Friday night brough Death by Chocolate, sponsored by the MBU Alumni Association, Remedy Drive live in concert and more. Saturday included things like lunch at Dave & Busters, exploring St. Louis and cosmic bowling. Here are a few pictures, and more will be coming soon.
Ignite 2011: Day 2
Ignite - Welcome Weekend 2011 continued today with the AMP Breakfast, sponsored by Campus Ministries, commuter check-in, meeting MBU faculty and staff over coffee and lunch, a party on the campus grounds and an ice cream social sponsored by MBU President Dr. Alton Lacey.
All the fixings
MBU students new and old shared a meal with the University's faculty and staff over lunch today. On the menu: Pulled pork and chicken, macaroni and cheese and Italian salad. Next up, the President's Ice Cream Social, complete with blackberry cobbler.

Aloha to the largest group of resident students this University has ever seen
Over the past few years, the MBU Luau, a sort of inaugural event to the Welcome Weekend festivities, has become a bona fide tradition here. Last night, that Welcome Weekend staple--typically reserved for new resident students, their parents and a handful of overly zealous returners--reached new heights with more in attendance than ever before. MBU has more than 300 resident students--the most ever--this year.
Ignite - Welcome Weekend 2011 kicked off this afternoon as new students began moving into the dorms. They were helped by parents and an army of volunteers from MBU and area churches. Are you ready to IGNITE your world?
Welcome Weekend is a four day event filled with fun, food and adventure - and a great way to be immersed into the culture of MBU. Unload your stuff, kiss mom and dad goodbye, and let the party begin! This year's event will be held August 18 - 21 at our Main West County campus.
Throughout Welcome Weekend you'll learn what it means to be a student at MBU - and have a blast doing it! From learning the ins and outs of life on campus to experiencing the thrill of exploring Saint Louis, Welcome Weekend will help you start your life at MBU off with a running start.
