Missouri Baptist University offers qualified high school juniors and seniors from public and private high schools and home schools in the metropolitan St. Louis area the additional opportunity to enroll in available General Education classes on our main and extension campuses. The following policies and procedures will apply to students in two categories:
Students from EXCEL schools (or school districts):
- Student’s high school or school district must be participating in EXCEL.
- EXCEL students may take only classes not offered at their high school. A maximum of 6 credit hours per semester may be earned in this manner. (If an EXCEL class is offered at the student’s high school, the class must be taken there. Exceptions will be made in extremely unusual circumstances and only with a recommendation in writing from the high school counselor.)
- Student must submit a completed application form for “non-degree seeking” students - the same form used by the Office of Admissions. Students may apply in the main EXCEL office with Julia Pitts on main campus at 314-392-2326 or complete the form at an extension which should then send the form to Julia.
- The cost of EXCEL-on-Campus for 2007-2008 is $100 per credit hour, plus a technology fee of $10 per credit hour.
- The regular admissions application fee of $25 is waived for EXCEL on Campus students who attend EXCEL schools.
