Technical Settings for Accessing Blackboard
Blackboard is a web based piece of software which allows staff and students to share learning materials, online. In order to access Blackboard you will need...
-
A username and password. Your Blackboard username and password are exactly the same as your MBU network username
and password (which are also used to access your MBU e-mail and the MBU Portal System)
- If you have forgotten your username or password please contact the MBU IT Office at (314)-392-2377
-
Internet access. You can access Blackboard on or off-campus from anywhere you have Internet access.
We suggest the following for students and instructors.
Platform: Windows
2000/XP/Vista, MacOS X 10.2 or later
Hardware: 128MB of RAM, 5G of free disk space
Browser: Internet Explorer 6
or later, Firefox 1.5 or later (2.0 or later
recommended), Safari
Modem: 56K modem minimum (broadband connection
receommended) Although a broadband connection is
not strictly required to access Blackboard, media-rich
course content may not be accessible on a dial-up
connection
Note to Windows Vista Users: It is strongly recommended that you use Firefox 2.0 or later due to known compatibility issues affecting Internet Explorer running under Windows Vista, and our campus e-mail system.
