Donate Non-Cash Items – Securities, Real Estate, Life Insurance Policies
Gifts of long-term appreciated securities allow you to provide a significant contribution, avoiding capital gains taxes while still receiving a charitable income tax deduction. Real estate does not have to be donated outright, but can be transferred to a charitable remainder trust to provide you with lifetime income.
