Head Coach Katie Rau
Katie
Rau joins the MBU Athletic Department as the Head Women's Lacrosse Coach
for the 2008-2009 academic year. Her initial experience with lacrosse came
when she played four years for the club team at Kirkwood High School. After
high school, Rau earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Middle School
Education from Southeast Missouri State University. Upon her return to the
St. Louis area, Rau was named the Head Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coach at her
alma matre Kirkwood High School.
Rau has served as the Head Coach at Kirkwood for three years, where she has overseen the team's transition from a club sport to a school sponsored team. She has also had the opportunity to coach the Central Division girls lacrosse team which travels out East to compete in the U.S. Lacrosse National Tournament. She was honored with the title of Missouri Scholastic Lacrosse Association Coach of the Year for the 2008 season.
Rau has served as a Young Life leader for several years, and is a member of Greentree Community Church in Kirkwood.
