Men's Soccer Signs Four Local Athletes
The Missouri Baptist University men's soccer team has signed three local athletes to the 2008-2009 roster.
Ivan Milicevic and Naser Mustafic both played for Mehlville High School. Ivan, a 6'2" forward, is a strong physical player, technically sound, and has an eye for the goal. He will provide the Spartans with more attacking options. "He will make an immediate impact on the team, because of his goal scoring ability," said MBU Head Coach Deno Merrick. Naser Mustafic, a 5'8" midfielder, is a very technical, hard working player. He will add more depth to the team, which is something the Spartans are in need of.
The Spartans have also signed Calvin Cody, a 5'9" defender from Francis Howell High School. Cody is a technically sound, physical player. He will also add more depth to the back line.
"All three athletes will bring something different to the team and challenge the returners," said Coach Merrick.
