Men's Cross Country

Missouri Baptist University Cross Country has announced the singing of Sean Swapp from Herculaneum High School. Swapp is the 2006 Class 2A Missouri Boys State Cross Country Champion. Swapp signed with MBU on Monday December 19th. Swapp is the second Jefferson Country State Champion to sign with Missouri Baptist University. Meagan Hudson from Crystal City signed with the Spartans earlier in the year.

Women's Volleyball

MBU is pleased to announce the signing of Erin Boyer. Erin is from Duchesne High School in St. Charles, MO. She has set for the squad the last two years leading the team to the District Championship the last two years. Erin was the first MBU recruit to sign for the 2006 class. She has played club volleyball for St. Charles Xplosion the last 4 years. She is undecided on her major.

MBU is pleased to announce the signing of Emily Burkemper. Emily is from St. Charles West High School in Missouri. She has played Libero / Defensive Specialist on the varsity team for the last two years. Emily has helped lead her team to the District Championship match the last two years. She has played club volleyball for St. Charles Xplosion for the last four years. She is undecided on her major.

MBU is pleased to announce the signing of Andrea Trask. Andrea is from Faith Baptist School in Belleville, IL. Andrea will add depth to the JV team at MBU and may play a few different positions. Andrea’s energy and attitude will help her be very successful at Missouri Baptist University.

MBU is pleased to announce the signing of Deanna Miesner. Deanna is a 5’11” Outside Hitter from Florissant, MO. She has played the last two years at Southwestern Illinois Junior College in Belleville, IL. She played high school volleyball at Trinity Catholic in North St. Louis County, and she played club volleyball for Attack volleyball club. Dee will compete for a starting spot as a junior next fall. She is undecided on her major at MBU.

MBU is pleased to announce the signing of Randi Tyler. Randi is a 5’11” Middle Blocker from O’Fallon, IL. She has played the last two years at Southwestern Illinois Junior College in Belleville, IL. She led Region 24 in blocking % in 2004 and was an All-Region team member. Randi played high school volleyball for O’Fallon high school. She will compete for a starting spot for the Lady Spartans in the 2006 season.

MBU is pleased to announce the signing of Danielle Deno. Danielle is a 5’8” defensive specialist/ outside hitter from Fenton, MO. She has played volleyball all four years at Ursuline Academy in St. Louis. She has played club volleyball for St. Louis Elite and Parkway Lightning. Her attitude, work ethic, and experience define what MBU looks for in an athlete. We are very excited about having Danielle at Missouri Baptist next fall.
