Women's Soccer

Missouri Baptist Women’s Soccer signs Nicole Million. Nicole returns to MBU after a year away at Southwest Illinois Community College. “We are excited to get Nicole back said Coach Dutchik. “Nicole is not only a great player but also brings leadership and toughness to the team. She will be a great for us. She is what we look for in a defensive back. Nicole also brings a winning attitude.” Nicole was a part of the Lady Spartan team that finished 12th in the nation.

Women's Soccer

Vanessa Lewis returns to MBU after one year away. Vanessa is from Yorda Linda, California. Coach Dutchik says “It is wonderful to have Vanessa back. She is a great target player that is extremely technical, she also is a great finisher. Vanessa adds fire power to an already dangerous front line. Vanessa brings a great work rate to MBU soccer.”

MBU Women's Soccer announced the signing of Kayla Fields. Kayla is an outstanding midfielder that is from Highland, IL. Kayla plays her club soccer for BFC Metro out of Bellville, IL. Coach Dutchik says, "Kayla is a midfielder that has great vision. She has the ability to get everyone involved in the game. Kayla is a wonderful addition."

women's Soccer

Kim Barks comes to MBU from Francis Howell North High School. Kim plays her Club soccer for Norco. Coach Dutchik says "When you think of the word competitor Kim Barks fits that description. Kim is a versatile player that can play anywhere on the field. We love her intensity."

January 2005

Women's Volleyball

Ana Mercado has signed with the Lady Spartans. Ana is a 6’2 middle blocker, originally from Mexico where she played on the Mexican National team for six years. Ana is a transfer from the University of Texas at Brownsville.

Tracey Abell, a libero from Fort Zummwalt South signed with the Lady Spartans on October 7th. She plays defensive specialist for her high school team and plays the libero position for St. Charles Xplosion club team.

Jennifer Gabrian, a right-side hitter and setter, from Fort Zummwalt West signed with the Lady Spartans in December. She plays with on the St. Charles Xplosion club team, where she plays right-side.

Megan Campbell is a defensive specialist from Versailles, MO. Megan is no stranger to the MBU volleyball program and its reputation of hard work and dedication. Her older sister and brother-in-law both played for the MBU volleyball programs.

Women's Soccer

Missouri Baptist Women’s Soccer has added a new member to the family. Mindy Cissell comes to MBU from Francis Howell High School were she was first team all conference in ’02 and ’04. Her team won districts in ‘04. Mindy play’s her club soccer for Emil Dragicevic. Coach Dutchik says “We are very excited to get a player like Mindy. She is a hard worker and she is very good technically. Mindy is a great addition and will be counted on right away.”

Men's Volleyball

The Missouri Baptist University Men’s Volleyball Team is pleased to announce the signing of 6’4” setter David Taylor. David is a senior at CBC High School, and plays club volleyball for St. Louis High Performance. He will major in Business Administration at MBU.
