Wrestling

Matt Cantrell from O’Fallon, Missouri has signed with MBU wrestling. He is a senior from Fort Zumwalt North High School in O’Fallon, Missouri. He is an outstanding wrestler who will be wrestling in the 133 or 141 lb. weight class. He is the son of Larry and Kim.

Coach Smith had this to say about Cantrell. “This is the kind of kid we want… he is a great wrestler with exceptional potential and talent. Matt has been coached well in his long career of wrestling. Matt will bring a wealth of knowledge and success to MBU.”

Women’s Basketball

The Lady Spartans have signed three girls for the 2004-2005 season. Alix Messersmith, 6’2” from Louisville, KY.; Amber Ford, 5’10” from Arrington, TN.; and Antoneia Garrett, 5’10” from St. Louis, MO. (Hazelwood East H.S.)

“We are excited about all three of these girls” stated coach Wingate. They will all three make a big impact in our program next year. The best part is that all three girls maintain very high grade point averages.”
