Women's Soccer Signs Two

The Lady Spartan soccer team has signed two key incoming freshmen for the 2008 season: Ashley Burton, a 5'4" defender from St. Charles West High School, and Kelli Courtois, a 5' defender from Windsor High School.

MBU Head Coach Deno Merrick said, "Ashley will make an immediate impact. She has the physical presence and ability to adapt that we are looking for in a player. Kelli will be a player that will add more depth to a team that has been lacking in that area."

The Lady Spartans finished third in the American Midwest Conference last season, posting a 2-2 record in the AMC, and an 8-11 finish overall under then first year Head Coach Deno Merrick.
