Women's Golf Competes at Region V Meet

The Missouri Baptist University women's golf team participated in the NAIA Region V Championship at Gustin Golf Course in Columbia, Missouri last week.

MBU junior Jennifer Lotz shot an impressive 83-79 to capture a 7th Place individual finish among all competitors in the 36-hole contest. By making birdie on her final hole, she secured the Top 10 finish and made First Team All-Conference in the AMC. Lotz had won the event as a Freshman. Sophomore Katie Dunlap also faired well with a Tie for 33rd place.

The MBU women's team did not field a full team at this year's Regional due to the recent injury of one of the players on the team. Coach Justin Hoagland said,"I was extremely proud of the girls. They showed alot of heart out there. We had near perfect weather both days. On the extremely hilly course layout, I thought we did well and improved from day to day. We will return next year with a very competitive team, I think."
