Two MBU Track Athletes Set to Compete at NAIA Track Nationals
Two members of the Missouri Baptist University Track and Field Team will put their best foot forward, competing at the NAIA National Track and Field Championship May 22-24 on the campus of Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.
Meagan Hudson, a sophomore Crystal City High School graduate, will look to finish as an All-American for the second time this year, (she earned the honor in the fall in Cross Country), as she competes in the women's 3,000 meter steeple chase. The trial round is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the final heat will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meagan enters the race with a third place ranking and a season best time of 10:58.37.
Darren Norris, a junior from Barbados, will compete in the men's high jump at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Darren is ranked 25th in the event, with a season best jump of 1.98 m.
We wish Darren and Meagan the best as they represent the MBU Spartans!
