Spartan Baseball Featured on St. Louis Television News

The American Midwest Conference and NAIA Region V Champion Missouri Baptist University baseball team was featured on NBC affiliate KSDK News Channel 5 in Tuesday evening's 6:00 p.m. broadcast. The Spartans (40-14-1) are in the midst of a record breaking season, as they prepare to leave for this weekend's NAIA Mid-South Super Regional for the first time in program history. You can see the video on the KSDK website by clicking here.

The Spartans are one of only 14 teams left standing in NAIA post-season play. MBU has earned the 10th seed, and will face Oklahoma City University for a best of three series at Jim Wade Stadium on OCU's campus. While MBU is looking to make its first NAIA World Series appearance, OCU is hoping to return for its 10th appearance; its first since 2005. The NAIA World Series happens May 23-30 in Lewiston, Idaho

The games are scheduled for Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. and Friday night at 7:00 p.m., with a third game at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday if needed. Fans can follow the action broadcast live via the web at Oklahoma City University's website.
