MBU Softball Takes Two from Wash. U

The Lady Spartans rallied in both games to topple visiting Washington University on Thursday afternoon. In the opener, MBU spotted the Bears a 4-0 lead before plating 2 runs in the third, 2 runs in the fifth, and the game winner in the bottom of the sixth for a 5-4 comback victory. In the second game, the lady Spartans tallied all five of their runs in the bottom of the sixth to defeat the visitors 5-1. Brittany Job and Lauren Scovill paced MBU with three hits a piece while Jessica Robinson and Lindsay Parker notched complete game victories.

MBU's record improves to 28-15 heading into regional action next week.
