MBU Baseball Clinches AMC Title

The Missouri Baptist University baseball team clinched a piece of the American Midwest Conference title this past weekend, taking three of four games from William Woods University. The Spartans finish the regular season 34-14 overall, 16-4 in the AMC.

If McKendree University can get a double header sweep of Hannibal-LaGrange College Monday night, the Bearcats will share the AMC regular season title with the Spartans. If the Bearcats drop a game, MBU will gain sole possession of the title. Either way, the Spartans have earned the right to host the American Midwest Conference Tournament Wednesday, April 30th through Friday, May 2nd.

The four team tournament will feature the top four teams in the AMC. Those teams and the AMC Tournament bracket will be released officially following Monday night's McKendree/Hannibal match-up.
