Baseball's Murray Earns AMC Pitcher of the Week Honors

Matt Murray, a senior right-handed pitcher for the Spartan baseball team, has been named this week's American Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week. Murray, a graduate of Marquette High School, led the Spartans to two AMC victories last week.

Murray allowed two runs and five hits over five innings in a 7-2 Missouri Baptist win over McKendree University last Monday. He then threw a complete-game one-hit effort in a 10-0 victory over Williams Baptist College on Saturday. Murray struck out three in the contest.
