Softball Opens AMC Season with Two Victories

The Missouri Baptist University softball team opened its American Midwest Conference season with two wins over Hannibal-LaGrange College on Tuesday. The wins improve the Lady Spartan record to 11-7 overall, 2-0 in the AMC.

MBU won the first game 8-1 behind pitcher Lindsay Parker. Parker also drove in a two-run homerun. MBU won the second game 8-4. Pitcher Jessica Robinson got the win. Lauren Scovill hit a homerun for the Lady Spartans.

The Lady Spartan softball team will be back in AMC action at home on Thursday, when they host the University of Illinois-Springfield (7-4, 1-1) at 2:00 p.m.
