Columiba Cougars Bring Spartan Basketball Season to a Close
The Missouri Baptist University men's basketball season came to a close Saturday night at the hands of Columbia College. The Spartans lost to the Cougars 71-54 at Columbia in the first round of the American Midwest Conference Tournament. MBU finishes the season 6-25. They were seventh in the AMC. #2 Columbia will now face now face the #3 University of Illinois - Springfield at Columbia on Wednesday night in semifinal play.
MBU freshman Dane Rawlins led the Spartans with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Bret Wilson chipped in 12, and Jake Hackerson 10 points.
