Baseball and Softball Sweep Good Friday Double Headers

In its home opener, the Missouri Baptist University baseball team picked up two wins on Good Friday. The 21st ranked Spartans defeated the College of the Ozarks 10-2 in the first game, and shut out the Bobcats 3-0 in the second. The wins improve MBU's record to 13-5.

The Spartans will be back in action on Saturday, playing host to the Indiana Institute of Technology in a double-header at 2:00 p.m.

The Lady Spartan softball team improved their record to 8-6 with a 21-0, 10-0 double header victory over Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri on Friday. MBU recorded seven homeruns in the two wins, with Lindsay Parker and Lauren Scovill hitting two each. Jessica Robinson picked up the win for the first game, and Lindsay Parker got the win for the second.

The Lady Spartans will host their first home games of the season on Saturday, when they take on Robert Morris College in a double header at 1:00 p.m.
