Wrestling Loses to McKendree

The Missouri Baptist University wrestling team lost to McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois Wednesday night. The Bearcats, ranked second in the NAIA, defeated the Spartans 29-9.

Three Spartans won their matches. Matt Collum (157 lbs.) had a 12-7 decision over McKendree's Aaron Winning. Nigel Kinworthy (184 lbs.) won 7-3 over Josh Bryant. Ike Okenwa (197) defeated Adam Hicks with a 7-4 decision. In the heavyweight class, McKendree's Dan Moore defeated MBU's Mike Wakim with a 4-3 decision in overtime.

The Spartans will return to action in a dual at Truman State University on February 13th.
