Spartan Baseball Splits in Tennessee
The Missouri Baptist University baseball team split its games at Union University on Saturday. They are now 3-3 on the season. The Spartans won their first game of the day 4-0 over Huntington College. Cody Poche got the win for the Spartans, pitching six innings and allowing only one hit. Joel Johnson led the Spartan offense with a two-run homerun. The Spartans lost their second game of the day 5-3 to Union University. The Spartans dug a hole early, as they registered three errors in the first two innings, and never recovered. The Spartans are scheduled to host Lindenwood University at home at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
