Six MBU Wrestlers Qualify for Nationals

The Missouri Baptist University wrestling team competed at the NAIA Eastern Regional Tournament on Friday. Six individuals will be competing at the National Tournament in Sioux City, Iowa March 6th through the 8th.

Two of those athletes placed in the top four at the Regional Tournament: Ike Okenwa placed third in the197 lb. class, and Nigel Kinworthy placed thrid in the 184 lb. class. Kinworthy and Okenwa will be joined at the National Tournament by teammates Matt Collum (157 lb.), Gerald Harris (157 lb.), Jeff Bowman (184 lb.) and Mike Wakim (285 lb.).
