Men's Lacrosse Splits Weekend Games

The Missouri Baptist University men's lacrosse team opened up play for the first time ever this weekend in Columbia, Missouri. The Spartans, facing club teams from the University of Missouri and the University of Iowa, picked up one win already in their young history. The Spartans lost to Mizzou 5-3 on Friday, but bounced back on Saturday, blasting the Hawkeyes 16-6. Freshman Marcus Barrera led the Spartan offensive attack on Saturday, scoring 6 goals and dishing out 2 assists.

The 1-1 Spartans will return to action this weekend, as they face Southern Virginia University and Davenport University at Tennessee Wesleyan University (Athens, Tenn.)
