Men's Basketall Concludes Regular Season

The Missouri Baptist University men's basketball team concluded its regular season and American Midwest Conference play Monday night in a 63-58 loss to Harris-Stowe State University. The Spartans outshot the Hornets from the field and out-rebounded them as well. However, a dismal 44.4% from the foul line on 8 for 18 shooting proved to be fatal for MBU.

With the win, HSSU takes sole possession of fourth place in the AMC and will host its first-round Conference Tournament game for the first time in program history. With the loss, the Spartans drop all the way from fourth place in the AMC to seventh place. They will face the loser of Tuesday night's game between McKendree University and Columbia College on the road Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in the first round of AMC Tournament play. McKendree currently holds sole possession of first place, but with a win, Columbia would share the top spot.
